Alliance Architects, Inc. is excited to be part of Dallas Independent School Districts’ Bayles Elementary School Addition and Renovation project.
Part of our K-12 Studio’s REVIVE approach is to take existing, outdated spaces and reenergize
and restore their purpose, thereby enhancing the educational experience for both the students and the staff.
Alliance Architects was given the opportunity to help with this by revitalizing the existing kitchen. The additional square footage allows for new state-of-the art kitchen equipment and provides more space in the cafeteria with easy accessibility for the kitchen staff.
During the community meeting, the kitchen manager was very pleased to learn the new layout will be designed to accommodate solely the kitchen equipment. The additional square footage in the existing cafeteria will be a reenergized space that will offer increased daylighting and vibrant school colors, putting life back into the space.
The new front entrance/security vestibule will eliminate the existing safety concerns and feature a new security design that provides improved safety measures. The addition of windows allows for natural daylight and provides visibility for the staff to see anyone approaching the building.
During the community presentation, community members expressed their thoughts stating, “This school deserves this new design”. “We have been hungry for this type of renovation” and “This will be a big morale boost to the community and staff”.
