What is your favorite company event that Alliance Architects has held?
Food Competitions like the Chili Cookoff. It’s great to see people exhibiting talents outside of the business.
Who is your favorite architect/designer?
Louis Kahn. The work is great, but I particularly agree with his ideas of how architecture should be done.
What has been a favorite project of yours, and why?
Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. An organization that helps children and families who are victims of abuse. Designing to accommodate specific needs for security, psychological wellbeing, and operations for such a unique project was both challenging and rewarding. Of course, we have a great team on the project, and we all look forward to getting them moved in so they can keep doing their critically important work.
What are you listening to when you work?
I listen to the people around me collaborate. You can learn a lot about architecture by listening to other architects working.
What time does your alarm go off in the morning, what time do you actually get up?
I get up at 7, with multiple closely spaced alarms, otherwise, I will fall back asleep.
If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Some form of eggs. Probably Eggs Benedict.
What’s your Starbucks order?
Cold Brew With Cream.
You must sing karaoke, what song do you pick?
If the goal is to have fun; probably something by Queen. If I want to sound good; probably something in my range like “Come Fly with Me” by Bobby Darin.
